Although his glass cups and balls is a masterpiece and highly enjoyable to watch, it's good to see him perform something else.
Re: Jason Latimer on Ellen Degeneres Tomorrow
You will be able to see him perform his COMPLETE LASER ACT at the coming World Magic Seminar... see the ad in Genii Magazine.
Stay tooned.

Re: Jason Latimer on Ellen Degeneres Tomorrow
Was that just a hint of his LASER act? He had some great concepts, you can tell that it was very hard to capture on video. I liked the last minute, but thought the first two were slow.
I don't know if Jeff McBride still bends light, but this was a much better job of manipulating light.
Did he have to get registered as a...."LASER technician"? I believe Green LASERs are regulated.
I liked that Ellen called him just "Latimer"!

Hasn't some guy in Europe been doing something very similar for a while now?

Re: Jason Latimer on Ellen Degeneres Tomorrow
Somebody at FISM ( 2000 I believe ) had a phenomenal laser act
Re: Jason Latimer on Ellen Degeneres Tomorrow
Jason is a registered laser tech.
Re: Jason Latimer on Ellen Degeneres Tomorrow
Just my 2 cents. I thought it was pretty cool to see as I have never seen anything like this before. The only thing is I saw at least 4 separate flashes but Its a cool concept all in all.

I saw him perform this at "It's Magic!" last year in Bellingham, Washington. It is so much more spectacular to see in person. I wish I had the opportunity to go to the World Magic Seminar to see Jason perform it again.

I too heard Ellen refer to Jason as "Illusionist Latimer" and just Latimer. Does anyone know if he dropped "Jason" for his stage act?

Yes ... he told me that he has done so.

Nobody likes to use the name "Jason" during Halloween.

Oh come on ... that and a William Shatner mask and you're all set
Re: Jason Latimer on Ellen Degeneres Tomorrow
i saw the segment.
meh.
i thought it was going to
be something exciting.
part of the problem i felt is that
there was more show of the laser then
what he was trying to do.
maybe i'm old fashioned.
but a light illusion that has other strobe
lighting isn't flattering. neither is
dry ice effect.
i was not amazed by it.

I thought I was the only one that thought this mai-ling! I agree with you totally. It seems like a tech-demo, not magic.
Re: Jason Latimer on Ellen Degeneres Tomorrow
There is a clip of it on YouTube and it seemed to capture it better. It was pretty hard to see what was going on. I really look forward to seeing it live.
