Loomis/Riser Micro Chop Cups and Routine

Postby Glenn Farrington » July 28th, 2008, 11:41 pm

Dennis Loomis/James Riser Micro Chop Cups

Here's a nice little holy grail for you guys out there.

This is the great Loomis routine with the incredible micro chop cups that James Riser no longer makes. This set includes, load balls (both sizes), the flask, the bag for the flask(its a black bag under the flask...black art against the pad...so it didn't show up in the photo), the bag for one of the chop cups, the two micro cups, the vanishing water gimmick and the booklet with the routine. The small chop cup balls are missing.

Glenn;
I'll send a set of the small chop balls to whoever buys this - so that it will be a complete set.

See how Karma works...I just got off the phone with someone who happened to mention Riser and we spent the rest of the conversation talking about what a great craftsman he is and a really nice guy. Less then 15 minutes later, he kindly adds this post. It took a few years for my wife to convince me about Karma....but man is she right.

Might I also add...Jim is making one hell of a new punch gimmick. Go to his website and buy one!

I'll second Glenn's endorsement of Riser's new punch gimmick. :)

I have his "old" punch gimmick which didn't really leave anything to be desired; what are the changes with the "new" gimmick?

Glenn and Richard, thanks for the kind words.

Michael, I do not want to hijack this thread. Go here to see some changes in my card punches over the years:

Jim's punches are the best.

I've used Jim's small punch to work up dozens of different gambling demo's, it's built like a tank and shines like a jewel.

Jim, just out of interest, have you hallmarked your new punch as per the (now discontinued) small punch?

There is an as yet unmentioned advantage to this newer design over the small punch I've got now.....and that's the ability to punch further towards the center of the card, something I've wished I could do on a couple of effects I've worked up.....and now can.

I'll see you on your order page Jim!!

Joe;
Your ball set was just mailed. Watch for a plain brown padded envelope. Enjoy the outfit.

Man...I sure hope you put his ball set in a padded envelope.

Was that too subtle?

Joe;
You're Welcome. I could not stand the thought that the set was "ball-less". The balls were balanced to the tiny cups and it would be difficult to use the cups without the correct balls. Enjoy your set.

Glenn;
Yes, too subtle.
