Pretty much every clip 'we' link to on youtube or break or whatever is pirated. How many little clips from America's Got Talent alone have been on here? All pirated.

Legally, I believe that linking the content is legal (after all, it's what google does) it is when the clips are embedded in forums (albeit hosted someplace else) that lawsuits have been successful.

If the copyright owners want the clips pulled, they alert the host and the clips are pulled. What most have realized is that they're really good advertising, and so they not only let them stay, the companies and networks themselves are often posting the content.

I agree wholeheartedly.

I wish Viacom realised that before the judge made Google/Youtube give up 100 million user names and the corresponding IP addresses of everyone that has used youtube. Yes. 100 million.

Yeah, just buy the legal version for iTunes. It's much higher-quality and only $1.99.

(for what it's worth Disney/Pixar have been very active in pulling unauthorized postings of "Presto" from YouTube and other video sites. The one linked above is hosted on a less well-known site called http://www.snotr.com/ . I'm sure if they find out it's posted there that the Disney/Pixar legal team will send the same copyright violation complaint to Snotr.com and it will be pulled. )

Buying it on iTunes seems pointless when you're going to get a copy of it when you buy WALL-E.

And you ARE going to want a copy of WALL-E. Best first reel in Pixar history.
