Interesting info on magic words

A place where beginners can participate, ask questions, and post their views. However, beginners typically ask a lot of questions about sources, tricks, books, and so on. In fact, all magicians are interested (or should be) in the provenance of tricks, ideas, and related matters. This department will service these needs.

The ancient Egyptian practice of putting text on paper and then dissolving the ink off the paper suggests some things about the "word" ;)

Wow, an explanation of an ancient, mystical word mixed with a bit of Pokemon. That is why I hate Wikipedia.

The phrase "The word has two meanings" pops to mind.

As long as one of the meanings is good - we're cool.
