Too bad: I'd certainly make the drive all the way up there to see dead people lecture. Well, depending on the dead people of course.

The living guys Ive not seen teach magic and/or sleight of hand technique and performance theory that Id most like to see dont (and likely wont) lecture. So thats no good either.

Here's is a list of guys Id like to see, but I dont know if they lecture (anymore in the case of at least one):

Dana Daniels
Charlie Frye
Mac King

So that only leaves me with folks Ive seen before that Id consider seeing again, and of those there are way more than three; what a dilemma.

Im going to go with the Three Mikes (in alphabetical order):

Mike Caveney
Mike Close
Mike Weber

But see, that leaves out another Mike: Michael Finney, and all the non-Mikes like Max Maven, Gaetan Bloom, John Carney, Martin Lewis, Jim Steinmeyer, Mark Kalin & Jinger, Jon Armstrong, Doc Eason, Tim Ellis, and on and on

I went with Vernon for all time because he could talk his head off with interesting side stories but with Erdnase being mentioned by dave I just might go with Erdnase to see him work an explain the effects he's got in his book.

The people I want to see lecture are all dead.
Some of the folks listed in this thread by others are already dead and just don't know it.

Excuse me if I'm hijacking the topic further, but to expand on the "dead or alive" issue, not only are many of the people I'd like to hear dead, I don't even care if they "lecture". To hear Del Ray just talk about his life, performing and otherwise, talk about his journeys cross country, feeding an ice cream cone to his bird ... that would be the best.

But barring any unanticipated resurrections and to stay thread worthy, I'd love to see Denny Haney lecture.

Here's why: Denny's fart jokes have more magic smarts than most magic lectures.

DD

PS: This is, of course, is figurative language. Literally, his fart jokes have more magic smarts than SOME magic lectures.

PS#2: Brian, to directly answer your question: 37 ... no 68.
