I have come across several stories on this recently, but have avoided posting them to the Magic Newswire simply because.. well.. it doesn't really matter to me or change my opinion of him as a performer. Then again, I don't read US, People, E!, of the Enquirer for similar reasons.

I believe I posted some rumor about him being a "favorite" in the gay men's community around 6 years ago here on this forum.

The big news to me, and the thing worth celebrating, is that he's in a good relationship with someone he cares about...

glad to hear that about anyone.

First reaction: So?
Second reaction: Good for him! The 'perfect relationship' is hard to come by.

Kinda makes a nice anniversary present: a sealed headline prediction "mentalist comes out of closet - magicians astonished"

- what do you mean there's only twenty cards on the table?

Marginally odd thing is he actually came out last September and all of a sudden it's getting attention.

I agree with everyone else here, who the hell cares as long as he is happy.

Old information and not newsworthy.

It always amazes me that this can be a surprise, considering the number of famous magicians who are gay.

His partner, who is not famous, didn't follow the magician's TV work prior to their meeting.

"He was not particularly much of a fan before we met, nor was he interested in magic or anything like that," Brown said.

LOL. Glad to see it's not just us straight guys who get the groans and rolling eyes from our partners.

I'd just like to announce... I'm straight and proud of it and if anyone can help me organise a press release about it I'd really appreciate it.

He owes his public a good show. He owes himself honesty and happiness. Good to know that both his public and private lives are working well.

I am stunned by a magician's abilities, not by his sexual orientation.

See...it's all about timing.

This was such big news the day this story broke, it completely buried another story coming out the same day..."Richard Simmons announces he has been in a secret heterosexual relationship for the past twenty years. He confesses to being a closet fan of football, Nascar, Hooter's restaurants and tobacco chewing.

Mr. Simmons is quoted in the press release "Hey...at least I'm not Canadian"

Glenn Farrington was recently spotted in an airport washroom trying to buy a Canadian passport and free healthcare card. He claimed he was doing research for a new book on alternative places to live.
