The SCAM Convention is Jan 18-19, which are also the dates of the first Presidential primary, also in downtown Columbia SC!!

So.....please, you need to book your rooms NOW, before the December 18 cut off date. (Tuesday) Call 1-803-771-7000, ask for the magic convention room rate $109.00 (double room with two beds).

The SC Presidential Primaries are being held on Saturday the 19th, hotel rooms are already at a premium so you should make your registrations right away, or you may not be able to find any room after the 18th.

The Marriott, with the exception of our block, is close to filling up now, and is not willing to lengthen the cutoff deadline.

SCAM Convention '08 HOTEL UPDATE

From our Chairman, Allen Young-

I received an update from the SCAM '08 Convention hotel (Columbia Marriott) on Wednesday afternoon, they actually oversold by over 30 rooms due to the Republican Primary being held here. The hotel is completely SOLD OUT.

All events will still be at the Marriott. Some attendees may be shifted to the Courtyard (the former Holiday Inn by the Coliseum). It's nine blocks away, but the hotel will provide complimentary transportation to the Marriott. (directions and info on that hotel is included below).
We're very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!

Another hotel is two short blocks away (Rodeway Inn) that has offered us lodging at a very reasonable rate.
