Worth noting that this clip is from the CBS series "It's Magic" that ran in 1956.

Mr. Maven, thank you for that information. I was curious about that. I have updated the page the clip is on to include that info.

From Chicago Daily Tribune; Aug 6, 1955; pg. C1.

Paul Tripp, who came to TV several years ago as Mr. I. Magination, has new witchery goin in his new CBS show It's Magic, seen at 6 p.m. Sundays over WBBM-TV. In last week's premiere, Tripp presented Gali Gali the Egyptian, who pull baby chicks out of the air, and Domonique, a French pickpocket artist.

Gali Gali was a pleasant chap, but Domonique got on everybody's nerves. Chattering French and flitting form victim to victim, he stole everything -- watches, ties, socks, suspenders, and a shirt!

Tomorrow It's Magic features Kuda Bux, a man who can drive a car, handle a rifle, and read and copy the written word while blindfolded.

Another guest will be Al Flosso, a conjurer who operates in a carnival atmosphere. And a novelty magician, A. Robbins, will produce unusual items out of nowhere.
