Larry Jennings On Line !!

Postby Terry Screen » June 20th, 2005, 9:56 am

Thanks to Lee Asher and Bill Goodwin for a great site honouring the late great Mr. J.
A free previously unreleased effect is available as a PDF download as well as some rare video footage, a biography, and bibliography.
It's well worth clicking on the 'Mailing List' link as it provides some great anecdotes from those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Thanks for a great job well done to all involved in this project!

Terry.
Keep passing the open windows.

What an amazing site! Great reading. The best stuff I've read in a long time. The photos are great as well.

Some fun content for Larry Jennings fans.

It's odd that Jennings '67 isn't listed among Larry's books, since it was the most recent and the largest next to Classic Magic.

It's also odd that Bill Goodwin is listed as the author of Up in Smoke since he didn't write it! It was written by Robert Parker.

For what its worth, those changes are on the website now. Listing out his creations as they have done simply leaves me in awe as to the sheer output the man had. One can only imagine what has yet to circulate :)

Mr.Kaufman, are you not writing a new Jennings book? If so, do you have a tentative month of release?
Thank you.

Richard I do not understand what you mean. Jennings'67 is listed in the bibliography with contents.

As for Up in Smoke, Bill has completely rewritten the notes and add photos, that's probably why he is listed as the author.

Yes, Jennings '67 is in the bibilography, but it's not on the biography page along with all of his other books.
It was not clear that Bill Goodwin had completely rewritten Up in Smoke.

Thanks everybody for the kind words. Yes, we should have probably stressed that Up In Smoke has been re-written. Sorry for the confusion. In addition, we have included 181 photographs where the original had none.

Also, if you like the website and would like to thank somebody, the next time you are with a Penumbra subscriber or with one of the many people who are part of Asher's Announcements, thank them. It is their generous patience that has allowed the website to exist.
