There's a link to Fire-Breathing Safety at Home of Poi.

The number of possible things that can go wrong with fire-breathing is large, and fire-breathing isn't good for you even when it goes right.

A useful resource can be found at http://www.youcaneatfire.com, if you're really interested in eating fire. I supported myself traveling all over Europe for 3 years, with not much more than a small bag of torches and a can of fuel. By the way, I did not blow fire. As far as I was concerned it was quite gross, the fuel tasted awful and it was very dangerous.
