This is one of the all-time great advertisements. It was "inspired" by a 30-minute b/w movie called "The Way Things Go" by Swiss artists Peter Fischli and David Weiss.
BTW the link above says it was the 606th take; I had previously read it was the 62nd.

Nope, definitely in the hundreds. It took about three months, I understand.
There was an article in a UK newspaper when it came out explaining how they got the tyres to roll uphill...think about it and I'll post an answer later :)

"The Way Things Go" is one of my all time favorite short movies; virtually everyone I've shown it to has expressed total amazement.
