Cincinatti Kid out on DVD May 31.

Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.

Seems like I've been waiting forever. I wonder if they'll have the Jay Ose clips that were on the Turner website?

One can only hope!

Doing a quick search, it does appear that the dvd will include the Archival featurette The Cincinnati Kid Plays According to Hoyle. NICE.

McQueen is the King!

This will also be part of a Steve McQueen set with several movies new to dvd. It's a better deal if you are a fan.

I'm living proof that the icons on the right do indeed work. Yesterday I order the Johnson book and today the Cincinnati Kid DVD. God I'm so in hock!!!

The new dvd of The Cincinnati Kid DOES have a Jay Ose featurette. It's a bit abbreviated by the editing. For example, he begins and finshes the Fingerprint Card Trick, but some of the details that normally make it charming are omitted. Still, the overall featurette gives a nice view of Jay and it comes with a fine movie.

P.S. The amusing part is seeing Jay's hands, with fingernail polish, filling in for the hands of Joan Blondell. This is "hand acting" way before Christopher Hart.
