Magic (nearly) on West Wing

Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.

Magic (nearly) on West Wing

Postby Bill Mullins » April 24th, 2003, 2:04 pm

Last night's episode of West Wing had some flourishey moves with cards and coins. Will Bailey (played by Joshua Malina) forced a card with a Hindu Shuffle just before he was shot at; and later, during a poker game, C.J. Cregg (Alison Janney) dealt a poker hand one-handed, and Bailey did a very smooth coin roll over his knuckles with a poker chip.

I've known Josh Malina for years and while he's not a magician, he is a hell of a poker player.

So he can handle cards and chips with the aplomb of someone who's spent many hours doing it.
