I begging for mercy from the working proffesionals, to see if they can point me in the right direction to get a quality item that will stand working conditions.
To beging with it has to be able to simulate a pen or a marker writing. Who in their right mind will use a pencil to write something for stage use?
Another plus will be a holder to get it into position in a flash when need it.
I've heard that the spanish mentalist Anthony Blake got his done by a jewerler and it sure replicates a marker writing.
Maybe Mr Riser will make a batch if we get the right demand.

Nobody complained until now about the pencil
that I hold in my hand.
Mentalists are doing it for many years.
Don't forget that the audience doesn't think
like us (and we are all gald they don't)
Ask Mark Salem if he has problems with his
nail write...

Obviosly Mr Maxim, you havent seen the marker nail writer. Because if you had, you will think that the pencil one is just a joke, regardles of what the audience thinks.
Its a matter of visibity, nothing else.

Re: Nail, Swammy writer
Koontz (they are from Israel) manufactures one of the best writers around. Easy to obtain and secure, easy to ditch, clear writing with a heavy listo lead (looks like a merker actually) and is easily seen from long distances. I highly recommend them for stage use.

Re: Nail, Swammy writer
Banachek also makes a very nice metal Listo bandwriter, and I've heard good things about the Listo Scarab writer (a Boon-style writer) from Norm van Tubergen (hope I spelt that right).
Lee Earle also teaches how to make a nice Listo bandwriter for dirt cheap on his Swami Gimmick Teach-In video, and Bob Cassidy teaches one in one of his books (I'm not sure which one, but it's part of his CD-ROM--I think it might be Art of Mentalism, Vol. 2).

Mr Alberstat,
I just took a look at the Koontz and for I read in the description is a thumb writer. I will look into this, but at this time I am looking for the type that goes under the nail(nail writer).
Any other sources for this type?
Anyone?
Thanks again

Re: Nail, Swammy writer
Many mentalists recommend the Sam Dalal nail writer available from almost every dealer.
Re: Nail, Swammy writer
Sad fact is, you have to play with them before finding the one(s) that work best for YOU. Some guys prefer a Scarub over a Boon... I've used a modified TT for years but then, I rarely do anything requiring a Swami (other than maybe Andy's Sandwich trick during business lunch group gatherings... ;) )
It really comes down to either getting into a shop that will allow you to try several different designs, or making your own and experimenting. At least that's the way it's worked for me.
