The obvious answer to the question, "How many fingers do I have behind my back," would be:

(a) 5, if one hand is behind the back.

(b) 10, if two hands are behind the back.

Of course, this assumes no missing or extra fingers.

To the question, "What finger am I thinking of?" I'd answer, "The usual one."

1) Farmer and Gordon's responses are priceless and go into the file bank for when that happens because if you were asked that and replied with either their responses (with an impish grin) you would not only have a great out but it would look like a clever ad-lib.
