Hi everyone.
Was not sure where to post this.
In the latest issues of women's fashion magazines, Oroton is running a two page spread which features cards flying about a room. The central focus of the advert is a woman placing a Queen of Hearts in her bag. It's an Oroton bag, of course!
Clearly visible cards in the ad are: QH, 6H, 10H. Less claerly visible, and secondary are: 4D and 3D.
Here is an opportunity to create a magic trick that interfaces with a mass media ad. Could be fun. There are card trick possibilities, mentalism possibilities and more. Some clever soul may even develop something that they can approach Oroton with.
Watch magazines like Marie Claire, Vogue, and that sort of thing to catch this ad.
I've scanned the ad and placed it in a folder so you can view it to get the idea. It's at www.wowbound.com/images/oroton.jpg
Cheers

So...uh...Ben...you're into women's fashion, huh? ;)
Just kidding with ya! Sounds like there's some possibilites there - I may have to play around with that. I'll see what magazines my girlfriend has lying around.

Re: The Oroton effect
(worst case described)
Imagine that you have a hand bag and a deck of cards in front of you. Do you want to put Red or Black cards in the bag?
So you want to put Red cards in the bag. Which ones...Diamonds or Hearts?
Hearts? Ok, of all the Hearts, do you want the Spot cards or Court cards to go in the bag?
Court cards it is. For you final choice, imagine someone taking a snapshot of your decision. Do you want to put away the Male or the Female Court cards?
Male: That leaves you holding the Queen of Hearts. (Show ad)
Female: So just as you put away the Queen of Hearts someone snaps a photo of you. (Show ad)
I assume that it could be possible to bake the ambiguity that you can't tell if she is taking the card out of the bag or putting it there, into the procedure. Any ideas?
