I wanted it, but I was only willing to bid up to $9500...

Unless the book is autographed by Houdini himself from beyond the grave, this is a joke.

Shipping to United States customers only at the present time.
For that price I'd be willing to ship it to the Space Station on the Space Shuttle ....

Two different bidders both at the same price????

Something sure smells fishy here.

EBay has changed it's listing process and display process.

The seller can view the specifics, but another viewer can not.

I have a feeling one of the bidders put the decimal point in the wrong place. Either that or the bidder should be institutionalized.

Anyone know what happened. Auction ended with the astronomical bid. Is the buyer liable, was it an error ??

Good gracious!

It is obviously someone messing about- something that happens frequently on ebay.

The book is not worth $10,000, and no one will be paying out the seller anything close to that amount.

The buyer is "not a registered user", with one feedback (a cent spent on some Las Vegas' maps), from China... It smells quite fishy to me ;-)

The buyer has one feedback and is no longer registered. Check the feedback of the seller of the map. While he has a large 100% positive feedback, many of his recent purchasers also have a feedback of one and are now also unregistered.

Definitely something fishy.

10 G's for a book worth $20, and the buyer still has to cough up 3 bucks for shipping?! --Now THAT is a rip-off.
