New Hofzinser book from Fulves is EXCELLENT

Postby Richard Kaufman » November 20th, 2002, 4:25 pm

Karl Fulves just kindly sent me a copy of "Hofzinser's Card Tricks," his new book that further studies the material from "Kartenkunste." It's excellent (150 pages) and I suggest that anyone interested in good card magic buy it. (The "Ring in Card" that Shoot Ogawa has been doing is in there.) Send $25 to Karl Fulves, Box 433, Teaneck, NJ, 07666 and tell him that Genii sent you.

Not having heard of Hofzinser in 1950s, I devised a marked coin (quarter) that I found inside a playing card.

Sure, it was a split card with rubber cement to seal the coin in.

How else?

Stay tooned.

Should one have read Kartenkunste first, or is it okay to read it independently? Is Kartenkunste available?

The great thing about the Karl Fulves book is that it is an excellent introduction to Hofzinser. So, to answer Alain Roy's question, you need not have read "Kartenkunste" first.

Snatch, check the first post in this thread by Mr. Kaufman. The information is there. Karl Fulves' books are available directly from Mr. Fulves.
