Just a note to those who are receiving the January Genii. In my video review column, a gremlin crept in. It's Troy Hooser, no extra "i" (Hoosier) as I well know.

It's noit my fault! Hoinest! I didin't doi iit. I neiver insert extra "i"s.

I'm actually a big fan of Troy's. I bought a Flipper coin years ago after reading his lecture notes. If you read "DesTROYers" by Josh Jay, you'll be looking for a Flipper as well.

Matt,
You mentioned the flipper coin. About 5 years ago, Woody Landers fooled the monkey poo out of about 5 of us with a 3 coin vanish using a flipper and a shell. The thing is, he vanished the whole thing with a short sleeve shirt on while standing.
He finally showed it to me and I "flipped".
Richard,
You do know that mailing this issue now, I won't get it in Nashville until around 12-31 the way the mail is...I mean 12-31-02!!
Just foolin,
Rick

Howdy
I got the issue today. I am really looking forward to reading what appears to be another "Genii" sized interview with Mac King. Looks like another interesting issue.
The only problem is that the cover of my issue was not attached to the magazine. It is completely separated from it. I am attributing it to the holiday mail rush. (I'm about 30 miles northwest of Chicago)
Happy Holidays all.

Lombard, IL (Suburb of Chicago), my Genii arrived on 12/17! Wow, it usually takes at least two weeks to get to me. Thank's Santa for bringing it so fast.

Happy Holidays.

Mine arrived today (12/18/01) in Boston. It was hand delivered by my postman. He had a peculiar look on his face as he saw Denny's new ad on the back. Then he asked, "What is it again that you do for a living, exactly?"

Looking forward to reading all about Mac. Congrats on the cover, Mac!

Happy Holidays, all!

Received my January Genii today in Malibu. That is a record deliver time for this neck of the woods. Looks like a great issue.

I didn't get my issue yet. But I did get to read one. And it is great. Penn's article, written as a bit of a tribute to Mac, can also be read as a "how - to" piece on what qualities make for a good show. The whole issue was well done, a break down of Mac's current show would have been nice. All in all, a great job by all.

Happy holidays from Phila. Pa.
Jan issue received on 12/18!
If you keep this pace up, I will have to take a speed reading course to keep up!
Great job again.

John,
Steve Bryant's piece on Mac King in Genii did not contain a breakdown on the current show because Steve had already done such a piece for Joe Steven's magalogue this past summer.

Richard, it's now Christmas Eve, and I've yet to receive my Genii. My subscription is current, and I usually receive it within five days of your announcing it's been mailed. Also, Brad Burt's Magic Shop is stocked up. Any suggestions (besides telling me to buy another copy at Brad's :) ) Thanks, and Happy Holidays.

Ruben,
I'm sure your issue is winging its way to you (albeit a wee bit more slowly than usual) on this Christmas day.
If you still have not received your issue by January 14, please contact the Genii office and a replacement will be sent.

Hi Richard,

Received the Jan issue on Jan 9, here in Australia.

Another wonderful issue.

I love the beautiful construction of Mac's versions of "Card in Shoe" and "Homing Card." These are very fine examples of quality routining - tight, no supefluous bits - a real lesson in elegance.

Cheers
