If you know anything about the history of the venerable square circle production device I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Pete: The Square Circle dates back to 1930 and is generally attributed to Louis Histed (1897-1965)though the underlying black art principle goes back to Auzinger and deKolta and others such as Heller and Devere had used the idea to conceal a load chamber (albiet in a table rather than a production prop). Didn't Davenports list a Square Circle effect under the name of "Wunda Villa" more than 60 years ago? Would that have been a Histed original?
