Dai Vernon recording

Postby Guest » February 8th, 2007, 4:51 pm

Parma Publishing has just released a 1977 recording of Dai Vernon talking about Magicians, gamblers, magic and telling some great stories. The recording was made by Patrick Page at the 1977 Ramsey Reunion in England. It's available as an MP3 download and is
very entertaining. Check it out at www.parmapublishing.com

I've just finished converting volume 2 to CD for Pat (in fact, I did it over a year ago, but only just got round to burning it).

The second volume was put out in 1997, twenty years after the first. It's not as polished as the first one, but it does have some fun stories on it. I tried to clean up the noise, and I edited out all the tape clicks and so on. With a bit of luck (and if Pat ever gets back to me with his address) it may be available at Blackpool.

Take care, Ian

Does anyone know if the gentleman who released that black and white 1974 interview with the Professor will ever re-release it on DVD?

That's Tony DeLap--I assume he's thought of releasing it on DVD, but haven't heard any details about it.

If anyone has a set of the original "From the End of My Cigar" cassette tapes, I would be interested in purchasing them. Thanks

Pat already has the first volume on CD, and hopefully the second will be on CD real soon. You may want to wait for them (it's a lot easier, and the second one is a lot cleaner - I edited out all the tape clicks and such).

Take care, Ian

It's out - Pat has them (or had them at Blackpool in February, anyway).

Take care, Ian
