Dante, the Man & His Art.

Postby Allen Tipton » May 7th, 2005, 5:38 am

Does anyone know what happened to the series Dante, the Man & His Art by Roy Short (Dante's stage manager in the 1947/48 UK tour)A number of the articles from this title, (with great illustrations) were published in Genii in 1995 but suddenly stopped.
I was told by our friend, Val Andrews (who knew Roy Short well) that the original m/s was purchased by Harry Stanley (Unique Magic Studios, London UK) in the 1950's. He used part of it as a basis of the book The Art Of Illusion, by Will Ayling then sold the m/s , I think, to Peter Reveen. Bill Larsen obtained it from Reveen and began publishing it then..nothing.
Incidently when I met Moi Yo Miller in 1993 I showed her a pic of Roy with Arturo & herself in Australia. She was so excited it she autographed it as Moi Yo Montes.
