Well this is the magic history and anecdote section, so.... I just sat through a marathon viewing with my three very young daughters of Mark Wilson's entire Alakazam and Magic Circus series. (over a series of evenings) They were my Christmas gift to my self. The girls were a captive audience despite this age we live in.
I associate magic with Christmas as it is when I fell in love with the art. What a treat, but a reminder that this type of performance on TV is history (sadly) Old fashioned showmanship by Mark Wilson, the truly classic props by John Gaughn, the drumroll and even the corny dated music and costumes. Can we ever see this again?
