Richard,
This is a cool sale. The lack of interest may be due to the fact that magicians want their books in pristine condition. Which is why they don't read them either.

Richard,

I just placed an order for "The Feints & Temps of Harry Riser".

At $20.00 it's a 'steal'. I feel like a criminal.

I understand that there is a second volume of Harry Riser's book scheduled for eventual publication. Any idea of when this is going to happen?

First, do not mistake the lack of replies in the thread to lack of interest: we have been deluged with calls and e-mails at the Genii office by those ordering books!
Second, as my post says (and the ad in the March issue of Genii will repeat), the scratches or dents are often so small that they would not be noticeable to the buyer.
Third, I have no plans on doing another Harry Riser book, so it might be with some other publisher. But I have heard nothing about it!

It wasn't the LACK of replies, Richard. It was your two "replies" to your own message, that made my type my little "joke".

Richard, thank you. I just received my shipment in record time and spent the first couple minutes checking out the condition of the books to see just how scratched and dented they were. The worst thing I could find was a 1/4" round white mark on the back of a black dustcover. Other than a little dust and a couple very slightly bent corners, the books I received were in great shape. Either you are pickier than me or I just got lucky because on a couple books I can't find anything wrong at all. Thanks again. :D

Unsolicited Endorsement Dept.: If you have not yet taken advantage of the Scratch & Dent sale, I urge you to do so (before the euphoria of new-fatherhood wears off and Richard comes to his senses). I just received the book I ordered and, apart from a small crease on the back of the dust jacket and the tiniest of dings on the top cover, this book is in near mint condition. Shoot, it's in better condition then some books I've received as “new” from other publishers! I just placed another order. Thank you very much, Richard, for such a generous sale!

Best,
Dustin

Hi Richard,
I imagine that when you publish so many great magic books, you occasionally have ones that are slightly scratched, or dented. It would be real great if you would offer the members of the forum a deal on these. Think about it, I'm sure it'd be quite successful.

Richard,
I have to agree with Lonnie. I always wanted, (and finally have) your beautiful edition of Discoverie. I'm a printer by trade and have a very good eye for mistakes or flubs most would miss, but I can find none. Now I'll have to keep going till I have all the books on the list.
Thanks Richard,
Pepka
