Re: Latest on Larrys book please Richard
I've got about a dozen items left to write, and some serious editing on about a dozen more. That's really not a lot if I had two completely open weeks.
However, we're going to start the process of illustrating very shortly!

Will this book be about the same size (in terms of number of items) as Jennings '67?

No, and that's why it's taking so long.
The book is currently 450 pages long without a single illustration or photograph
There are about 130 tricks and about 100 sleights and techniques.
Final page count should be between 500 and 600 pages.

And this is going to be "Mr. Jennings Takes it Easy"? I don't suppose you want to hear from anyone asking when "Mr. Jennings Takes it Tough" will be ready.

Yes, this is Mr. Jennings Takes It Easy.
I have several other books to write before I get to Mr. Jennings Takes It Tough.
First, Theodore DeLand, Tenkai, Cliff Green.

also, any approximate date of the Tenkai book would be great. Will this be similar to "Magic of Tenkai" written by Furst (?) some years ago?

Hope to finish up Mr. Jennings Takes It Easy in a few weeks. Then it goes out for proofreading. Will start Tenkai next. It will be nothing like the existing Tenkai book, which misses many subtle details.

Re: Latest on Larrys book please Richard
The book has grown since that post.
Earle Oakes has died.
I will be using about 1500 photographs. The process of taking the photographs requires me to relearn the material (started writing the book in 1991 or 92). I WILL do it, but have to finish DeLand and Tenkai first. DeLand this year I hope, and then Tenkai mid 2013. (The Tenkai book is not enormous, which helps.)
If I'm lucky and fate kisses me, then Mr. Jennings Takes It Easy might come out by the end of 2013.
I keep trying to finish these projects, but Genii and family obligations make it really tough.

Re: Latest on Larrys book please Richard
Wow there are a lot of pictures for a book, it would be a epic book, and as such it would take a long time to finish. Fortunately the books about Theodore DeLand and Tenkai are very interesting also. We will have fun in meanwhile.
We should have always time for family and friends, it is the first thing in mind.
Good luck!
