My New Book "Japan Ingenious" On Pre-Pub Sale

Postby Richard Kaufman » July 25th, 2013, 10:54 am

My new publication, Japan Ingenious, which contains 65 tricks from 21 different Japanese magicians is now for sale. Hardcover, dj, fancy paper, the regular deal.

Order here:
http://geniimagazine.com/kaufman/store/html/89.html

Great tricks! All close-up magic with all sorts of objects, not just cards and coins, though there is plenty of amazing card and coin material in there.

Japan Ingenious contains twice as much material as any of my previous books on magic from Japan.

We're having a short pre-publication sale of 33% off the cover price: you get the book for $40 postpaid in the US (we pay your postage) instead of the normal $60 price.

I will be at Magic Live! and will be having books shipped to my dealer table hot off the press, and the price will also be $40 there (if you buy it from me there, I'll be happy to autograph it for you).

Richard,

Any chance you could post the table of contents for this new book so we have an idea about the content?

I have always wanted to pick up 5x5 but this may supersede that purchase.

Thanks.

Richard,

I don't see a Paypal option on your purchase page, only credit cards.

I don't think there is a Paypal button. just log in to your paypal and send the money to the address Richard provided. add a note stating what the payment is for.

Is there any more material from Earle Oakes in the pipeline? or is this his final magic work?

I have several hundred illustrations for partially completed books, but no completely illustrated books.

This might be the last. Not sure.

Richard, will this be available from dealers or only from you? I'm going to be in New York at the end of August and would love to be able to avoid postage costs by picking it up from Tannens.

Available from all dealers. However, you will pay the same whether you order it from me now at the pre-publication discount (and include shipping) or if you buy it after the pre-pub discount ends and don't have to pay for shipping.

Hi Richard,

Is Takanobu Ishida's "Date/Time Cards" an updated version of his "Chronomter Cards" from New Magic of Japan? Is the effect the same?

Thanks!

It was the inspiration, but the effect is not the same.

I've just ordered it direct from your site (I'm sure I can find other things to get at Tannens). This is one I've been looking forward to a lot.

I would love to know a little more about the background on this book and how the material was chosen. Are the effects mostly new or recently published in Japan, or are they something of a "best of" by the contributors? Any history would be appreciated. It looks like this will be a very interesting and unique book.
