One armed gambler story/patter for cutting the aces

Postby odomenech » December 9th, 2005, 3:43 am

On Dai Vernon Revelations volume 1, The Professor talks about a story that goes with the "Cutting the Aces" trick involving a one armed gambler and culminating in a stabbing of the last ace with a knife. However, he doesnt tell the story and assumes you know it. Can someone tell me this story?

It is in Stars of Magic.

And there are 100 other reasons for buying that book apart from the Cutting The Aces story!

It's great patter. I do it almost word for word. Except I transport the story to the magic circle and an old guy there (that narrows it down) who has one arm and used to be a gambler...

It plays so well.

And Dom's right. The book is amazing.
