Need Coin Routine Suggestions
Need Coin Routine Suggestions
Can anyone suggest a good coin routine that can be performed without a table in front of an audience of about 30 people (not close up).

In order of difficulty:
(borrowed) marked coin in ball of wool/nest of boxes
Jack Chanin's TV production sequence
Miser's Dream
Coins To Glass (David Harkey has an exceptional handling in Simply Harkey)
Vernon's Silk and Silver

Re: Need Coin Routine Suggestions
Here's what I do in those situations:
"Beijing Coins Across" from "Palms of Steel 2: Fists of Fury."
or
"Silver Circle" plus "Chinese Silk and Silver" from the original "Palms of Steel".
and I usually work in "Through and Through" from "Palms of Steel 3: Silverado".
But for something with a bit more of a plot, you might want to consider Kevin James' Coin in the Bottle routine, or Michael Ammar's standup Coin in Bottle, with the bottle production.

I have a Signed Coin through Neck routine on my website - (click here) . It's a very quick throw away routine (which is why it's only $5!), but it works for an audience of 30, and could be a precursor to something else. There's a demo video at the above link as well.
Good luck,

Another great routine that I never see anyone do is David Williamson's "Money Talks" from Williamson's Wonders. It works very well for a parlour setting. Have a spectator join you and use their outstretched hand as a table. You can then produce a couple of the coins from their clothing.

I love this trick ... my handling is a bit easier than David's but the effect is the same ...Originally posted by Glen Guldbeck:

have a look at the Gary Kurtz material from his videos and the Roth standup "one coin routine" from his offerings. And ues when standing you can use a variation of his "Winged Silver" using Edge Grip methods to get very visual and use volunteers too.Originally posted by japanbobtuna:
