I am booked to conduct several "inspirational" programs for teenagers this summer and have considered using an escape of some sort as a metaphor. (Yeah, original idea, huh?!)Instead of the tried and true "standard" thumb and wrist ties using rope or cord, I thought one of the zip strip variations might carry about more gravitas. I've read the reviews that I could find, but would prefer to hear from someone or someones who have used either Joe Monti's method, or any other.
For the record, I am not a performing platform magician, but rather a life-long amateur (close-up, cards mainly) who sometimes uses simple platform effects to drive home points, etc. Audience management isn't an issue and I'll put in any required work, but obviously want something that will impress an audience of typically surly teenagers. Will Joe's routine help me do that?
Thanks in advance for any opinions or ideas.
