Open top manipulators' tables

Hi All,
I am interested in researching designs for a table with an open top for a manipulation routine during which props are dropped off and picked up through the top. I have heard of shelves and bags and other assorted contrivances, but I cannot find a source to help me figure out what the options are, how to keep the noise down, or how to best organize the space for longer and shorter items.

I know I will ultimately design my own, but I have found no useful references to help me get started.

Thanks for any help you can give me with this,

Start with the Tony Marks book. Duane Laflin has some ideas on his tapes.

How it helps us, if we start with Tony Marks book?

Marks created this style of table, and his design is described in great detail in the book...it is very practical...

And Marvyn Roy...and several dove workers in the early 1950s.

You can buy an open top table from David Charvet, made by Mark Green. It looks like an ATA case when closed. I had a small moveable shelf made for mine. It sets up in seconds and with Velcro compatible cloth inside my props are where I want them.
