Hi Matt,
Thanks so much for posting this information; I learned a few new tricks that I am sure will come in handy. As I read I wondered about feathering in gloss paint repairs. Does the rougher surface you use help hide the sheen difference? Or do you have another trick up your sleeve! In using latex, I have thinned the paint for residential painting repairs on walls painted with flat latex, but have never had much success patching with gloss.
