I am, after over 25 years in magic,starting to do the Invisible Deck Trick.Can someone tell me about a funny routine that gets a lot of laughs?

I want to do a good funny routine!

Get a copy of INVISIBLE SECRETS REVEALED by EDDIE FIELDS. It will give you a bunch of ideas.

ALso there is a DVD on the ID by Castro. It's pretty good as well as cheap.

As Perverse Magic

You go through the routine with an 'invisible deck" etc explaining how hard it is to get an invisible deck and then have a card named (and comment that card has very rarely been named), pull it out of the invisible deck and insert in face up and then - suddenly - and to the magician's surprize, the deck becomes visible again. "Darn!" you say as you go through the deck and remove the face up named card and put it back face down, "I've got to figure a way to keep the deck visible."

(It's important that the appearance of the deck be done well. Perhaps the deck can be in the right sleeve and, when it's to appear, the right hand drops to the side, the deck is palmed and then the right hand comes over to the left and - all of a sudden - the deck is visible!)

Bill Malone is doing the standard version which is the Don Alan version of the effect. Actually I would recommend it.

If you are able to catch Dick Stoner at a tradeshow, his ID is great. There is a short demo of the effect at stoners.com. This is not exactly what he uses in the tradeshows but is very close.

In the tradeshows, he uses several people instead of just one.

Don Alan and Eddie Fields are associated with the "Invisible Deck" presentation. The deck itself is called the "Ultra Mental Deck" and was created by Joe Berg.

Not so much a funny presentation as just a good routine that takes the deck far beyond what it normally is prsented as.

I would suggest the routine David Benpresents in his book Tricks.

It's called Invisible Triumph I believe. Very good fully worked out routine.
