False count

Postby Guest » January 11th, 2002, 4:00 pm

hello all I was wondering about a false count I recently read, this false count is used in paul harris's first version of interlaced vanish, I am working on some ideas with it because it seems really cool, does anybody know the name of this count and any other effects that use it well, thanks.

Noah, I think you're looking for Bro. John Hamman's count, which must be described somewhere in "the Secerts of Brother John Hamman" by R. Kaufman. (or is it only in the LePaul book?)Or it ought to be in Mentzer's "Counts, Cuts, and Subtleties"

Variations worth considering are John Carney's in "Carnycopia" and Jay Sanky's in "Sankey Pankey".

Good Luck

Hello Curtis thanks for responding. you know the count I was refering to was based on the hamman count but now because of your post I realized the normal hamman count can do the exact same thing with a little less difficulty, Thank you very much.
