I apologize if this was already discussed.

During the Ricky Jay performance of Mc Donald's Aces in his show "52 Assistants," he displays all the cards before he places them on each of the queens. I think it is much better way to perform the trick. This is different then the way I perform it. I learned the trick from the Frank Gracia Stars of Magic booklet. In that version, you don't show the 3 extra aces when your placing them on the leader ace. Does anyone know if the method Ricky uses ever appeared in print?
thanks,

Jay uses the Veeser Concept, a wonderful move that I'm amazed more magicians don't use. It's described in several places (Phil Goldstein's Focus comes immediately to mind). It is also demonstrated on Ackerman's Advanced Card Control #7 tape, and on David Regal's More Tricks DVD. I use it when I do MacDonald's Aces. I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't.

Stuart Judah has an excellent laydown sequence for the MacDonald's Aces that was published in Pallbearers Review.

I was recently reminded of (by Cards by Martin) a laydown created by Emile Clifton years ago in San Francisco. It is, IMHO, one of the best, most direct yet... and I have promised to write it up for Genii... now that I can type with two hands again... will do soon.

Bob Jardine was in the Castle today for lunch and when the scheduled performer was LATE (stuck in traffic) Bob borrowed a deck of cards and worked the jaded crowd... knockin' 'em dead... great worker and MOST ENTERTAINING! :D
