favourite coin video

Postby Guest » September 3rd, 2003, 1:32 pm

I'm in the market for a video of non-gimmicked coin magic suitable for walkaround work - as angle-proof as possible as i often end up with spectators surrounding me or looking over my shoulders.

Any suggestions?

Check out David Roth's video Live in Philly. Plenty of good stuff.

Hi Malcolm,

Both REVOLUTIONARY COIN MAGIC (Jay Sankey) and COIN CLASSICS, VOL. I (Stevens' Magic Emporium) have hefty amounts of real-world goodies.

Check out Apollo Robbins' and Shoot Ogawa's "Cultural Exchange" - plenty of good coin magic, designed to be performed under tough conditions (loud music = little or no patter, short attention span from the audience = get to the effect fast, etc.).

Ah, I think Malcolm may encounter some angle problems with some stuff in this DVD, and it's not the best one to start off with either... David Stone vol 1 is good, David Roth tapes or if you want something super easy, try Palms of Steel 2 :D

Doug Brewer's book, "The Unexpected Visitor" is a coin magic book specifically written for table hopping, performing in a restuarant or bar in mind.

You can read a review of the book in the reviews section of www.coinvanish.com. If you are looking for videos that teach you the fundamentals of coin work check out the "David Roth videos VS. Ammar DVD VS. David Stone videos. " review in the same section.

Sincerely,

Dan
