Wand and Chop Cup by Hidden Wren

Postby erdnasephile » May 31st, 2016, 4:21 pm

Just wanted to share a couple of photos of a chop cup and wand that Gareth Gwatkin of Hidden Wren Magic made for me. The wood is African blackwood and the tips are alternative ivory. The craftsmanship of the wand is beautiful and precise--I really like the accent stripe of blackwood near the tip. When the wand is put together, the join is near invisible, with the grain of the blackwood lining up perfectly. The want has just the right heft, balance, and size to make wand spins easy. The turning on the chop cup is akin to fine furniture and the finish is perfect. The chop action works like a dream. Mr. Gwatkin provides excellent communication, service, and turnaround time. I've got no financial connection with Hidden Wren, but as I've said before, I like to give props to the good folks in magic. Mr. Gwatkin is definitely one of those. http://hiddenwrenmagic.com/
