Cervon'S WC Routine can be found in Hard Boiled Mysteries. Hope that helps.

Is that "Wild Man Wild" ?
IIRC you were exploring that trick around 1980

Re: What Say You? JP Vallarino's Wild Card
I've been wanting to do the trick regularly for... back when Ron Frost's Wildcard Outdone was put on the market.
Yes to using a wallet to carry the trick. But geeze - the reset and making that switch work...
I got as far as this question: How to motivate that moment where you put the cards back in the wallet within a plausible routine that bears watching a second time. Does it make sense to start with one of the pre-change cards selected and set aside into the wallet and you check it every now and then?
Any thoughts?

It seems to me that Tommy Wonder justified the wallet calling the cards part of a collection (or something along those lines). I do the same thing with my version of Hamman's "Magic Cards." So, to "keep them safe," I replace them into the wallet.

I think the "contagion" type plots can also justify the wallet. If the contagion can affect the other cards, simply by touching them, isolation in the wallet makes sense.
If there is something special about the cards (bridge size (Ortiz), gypsy cards (Kane), etc.) then I also think the wallet, parchment, etc. makes sense since these cards would not be in your regular deck.

The JPV 'Cartes Folies' is an excellent routine.

I think Jeff Sheridan's version from his L&L DVD set is underappreciated. It's an excellent handling with a logical presentation.
It uses a Svengali deck and that's probably why magicians don't seem to rate it.

Nice routine, but I'm in the camp of previous opinions that it's a little too long. Additionally, JPV seems to be rushing though it, so if someone's style is a little slower..

I guess i'm a dissenting opinion. I think he over uses a couple of overly discrepant moves.
I prefer Peter Samuelson's handling with or without his wonderful script...

Another one of the few wild card routines with a great ending is Michael Close's "We're all B*z*s on this Bus"
