Rough and Smooth effects

Postby Sean-Dylan » August 5th, 2014, 5:04 pm

With the recent acquisition of “The Roughing Stick” by Harry Robson, I have taken a renewed interest in effects that use the principle. I am looking for effects that are either marketed or in print, other than the well-known Brain Wave, Ultra Mental, Pop-Eyed Popper, Phil Trick etc. I have also performed Nomen Omen and Monkey in the Middle in yeras past. Any other suggestions?

Sid Lorraine sold something similar--I think he called it "Rough Stuff"--and as he was a commercial artist, I always wondered if it was some sort of commercial art product.

There's also a book by Joe Berg and Aldini called, "Rough Stuff."
