Looking for name of effect

Postby Steve Cobb » June 12th, 2014, 1:06 pm

I am looking for the name of the effect where the Magician has the spectator select one of several books or magazines. The Magician then riffles through the pages and the spectator has him stop on a page and remember it. Then the Magician has the spectator sit on the book or place it somewhere. A short time later the book is retrieved and the noted page is missing and is torn out of the book or magazine. The Magician then walks down the street and finds the torn page in a locker, garbage can or some other place. Thank you in advance.

There's an early version in 13 Steps but the person who developed it as we know it is Arthur Emerson called The Pegasus Page, published in Sam Dalal's SWAMI magazine, issue 13, January, 1973.

A very practical method is Docc Hilford's, 'Wizard's Manual'.
