Im looking for sources for advanced phone tricks, again the key word is ADVANCED.

Im already using ideas by: Banachek, Himber,
Walsh, J.G.Thompson, Miller, Baker, Annemann... and many others.

Any kind of information on this subject
will be great.

The item called "Thoughts from Afar" in the new book, "Paul Curry: World's Beyond" is extremely clever and certainly strikes me as advanced, although others on this board are better judges of that.

As I went to get the Curry book Ralph posted the exact idea. I concur, though I haven't tried it yet, 'Thoughts from Afar' appears to be unfathonable. Very sophisticated, but easy in performance.

Actually I would prefer to keep this to myself, but the best Phone Effects I know of are found in "Person to Person" by Lewis Jones. Brilliant!!
The first section covers "Solo" Phone Magic (you are calling someone and perform magic over the telephone), the second section covers "Duo" Phone Magic (performer and medium kind) with the following 4 restrictions in every item: No forcing ever - medium's name and phone number are displayed before the trick begins - phone calls can be made by any spectator, never the performer - no instructions whatsoever for the spectator on the phone.
Sounds interesting? It is...

Page 115 of "Kort" has one of the most brilliant "phone/card" effects, simple, direct and has a huge impact on your audience.

The most "advanced" aspect of this effect is that it uses cell phones: "Cellular Thinking," published in "Ellis in Wonderland" by Tim Ellis & Sue Anne Webster.

Actually, that brings up a question. Have any traditional phone effects become less mystifying because audience members assume (wrongly but credibly) that the mechanism involves an assistant on the premises with a cell phone?

After filing the patent on March 7, 1876, he performed his first effect five days later on March 12. His patter went "Mr. Watson -- Come here -- I want to see you."

I recommend the lecture notes of Sue-Anne Webster and Tim Ellis " Ellis in Wonderland ". There you also find "Cellular Thinking", a trick they describe as follows:
"Two person mind-reading with a gimmick you already own, but never use." ;)

Well, purely for completeness you should probably add "Sign of Five" marketed about ten years ago by (ahem!) myself - using an approach later used (independently) by Alex Elmsley in his brilliant Mouse Magic - the idea garnered praise from the likes of Martin Gardner, Paul Daniels and Stephen Fry (yes, the actor).
Sorry, this sounds like a huge plug, but it isn't meant to be - I'm not sure I've got any left. But I was kind of proud of the idea and I'd hate for it to be completely forgotten!

Actually, the telephone was invented by an Australian in 1872. Alexander Graham Bell came up with the idea of TWO telephones. :D
