Phoenix Deck question

Postby erdnasephile » April 11th, 2014, 10:33 pm

I'm thinking about using these in a show to match a trick that only comes in Phoenix backs.

Just wondering if anyone likes these--how do they handle--how flexible are they. Do they really Faro out of the box?

Also, I read an advert blurb that they come with regular aces along with the large pip aces. Is that still true?

thanks!

The latest Phoenix decks only have the large format aces. They no longer have the small and large. If you can find an older deck, it will have both.

They are a quality deck and I think you will be very happy with them if you like regular Bikes.

The US Playing Card Co, who manufacture the Phoenix Decks, have three levels of quality. Standard Bikes are the lowest level and the highest is Casino quality.

Phoenix decks are casino quality and are cut differently from regular Bikes.

The cards themselves don't Faro right out of the box. You can watch them all day and they won't even move. However a Faro trained magician will find Phoenix decks faro much easier than regular Bikes.

Brilliant! :D

If you can do a Faro shuffle then you will have absolutely no problems with a new phoenix deck.
