In the Michael Skinner issue (I'm talking about the best magazine in magic, of course), I stumbled upon an interesting article by Darwin Ortiz ("Michael and me"). The following sentence still makes me thinking a lot: "[...] Michael would quote Leipzig's famous statement that 'People want to feel they've been fooled by a gentleman. That was the ideal he set for himself...'.
Now the question: which is the 'ideal' you set for yourself? Mine is quite similar to the Leipzig's statement. "... fooled by an interesting gentleman", I would add.

Leipzig, Skinner and you!

Oddly I had just (re)read that issue today. It was an excellent issue. I would add people love being fooled by a gentleman who loves magic, and who isn't afraid to call him or herself a magician.

Re: Leipzig, Skinner and you!
I always found people liked to be fooled by a short Jew.
