I have heard that FISM 1997 close-up competition was won by 17-year old boy called Thomas Meyer? Is this true and if it is, where is he now, because I have never heard anything about him. Also what in the world he did in his act, because I have seen Simo Aaltos FISM act (1997 second, 2000 winner)and I thought it was very hard to beat?

I think you're right about Pit's age, though his Victory was at the FISM in Japan in 1993.

Pit is performing and lecturing at the Castle in April.

Speaking of young awardees, I once guessed that Daryl was the youngest ever FFFF Honoree. Anybody know if I was right?

Daryl was Guest of Honor at FFFF in 1992. The only other honoree I can think of that might have been younger when he was honored is Steve Dusheck, who was honored in 1983. I don't know their respective ages so I can not tell for sure which was younger when honored.

Hi there,

yes Pit was still 17 when he won the second place in japan but of course that was 1994 and Pit turned 18 the day he returned :)

Best wishes from Frankfurt Germany
