Copper Silver Brass - Johnson Chinese coin– How do I repaint the gimmick?

My Copper Silver Brass Johnson gimmick is loosing its paint every time I polish the Chinese coin. I no longer polish the coins.

Does anyone know how I should go about repainting the Johnson Chinese coin? This is not an easy task because of the Chinese symbols.

What paint should I use?

I hope some of you have a useful solution because I do not think buying a new set is reasonable.

Thank you.

I used to fill in the areas with modeling paint and then sand the stuff off the raised areas with fine grain paper FLAT on the table, and rub the coin over it.

Can make some nice odd colored coins that way too.

Try contacting Johnson Products. I was told at one time that all their coins come with a lifetime warranty, and if the coins are worn they may very well replace it. Worth a try. I don't know how to contact them, check with your local dealer.
