Marlo's Elevator Cards

Postby David Moore » April 4th, 2008, 10:03 am

Does anyone know where Marlo's original version is written up other than The Sphinx?

David, while not the original, a variant by Roberto Giobbi can be found in Card College 1 on page 123. Thanks to Denis Behr's website for the reference. Good luck!

Are you referring to the effect called Penetration in the Cardician pg. 46 which makes referrence to the Sphinx 1948.

Boy, that sure sounds like the effect. Bill Simon calls his version "Elevator Cards" in Effective Card Magic where he refers to Marlo's in the Sphinx. I was assuming the name was "Elevator Cards" in the Sphinx.

Thanks,

There is a card effect called "The New Elevator" by Ed Marlo In The Phoenix. The Houdini magic shop has put the Phoenix out on CD Rom.

Highly recommended.

I hope this helps.

I would like to add that the Marlo routine is listed as issue 338 with a page number of 160.

I hope this helps.

Thanks.

It's in the "New" Phoenix, which is why I couldn't find it in my file.
