Illusion Truck - alternate handling

A few of us figured out recently that the rabbit from 'Magician's Matchbox' fits inside 'Illusion Truck'. So here's something to work with:

You will need the rabbit figurine from Magician's Matchbox and a coat.
At the end of your routine, have the lion disappear into your pocket, or a way to have an excuse to put your hand into your pocket.
When your hand is in your pocket, grip the rabbit figurine and palm it between your pointer and pinky fingers. Have an audience member extend their hand, Palm facing upwards. Place your palm over theirs and place the palmed rabbit into their hand without them seeing this action. Have them close their hand into a fist and have them say a magical word or make a magical gesture. When they open their hand, it will appear as if they turned the lion into a rabbit. This will appear more convincing as the rabbit can fit inside the truck cage.

Thoughts?

It needs to be more convincing, and you'll have to use sleight of hand for that. There's no conviction that the lion is still in your hand after your hand has come out of the pocket.

This is one of two videos that I was using for it:

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0KryDlmuWUo

Basically, it's after he has the lion in his hand go in his pocket and the lion transfers back in the cage. Then afterwards he opens the cage and transfers the lion into his hand. I figure at this point, it would be assumed that the lion would be in the hand that was previously in the pocket and you could have the rabbit in it.

Would it still work, or no?

Mr. Hurley,

As you just described it, it will work perfectly well.
The routine in the video has three penetrations plus a vanish & reproduction of the lion. You have come up with a third effect; a transformation of the lion into a rabbit; which not only provides variety, but gives the routine a very nice finish.

Well done.

The lion trick... has possibilities. Are there extras available? (trucks, lions)?
