Re: Video of New Tenyo Items
It's great to have the opportunity to see demos of the new line but did we actually see him do the 4D trick? I don't think so. What happened there?
I am aware that they were fast flashes of each effect (except the bills trick) but we didn't actually see what 4D does.

Re: Video of New Tenyo Items
You don't see what most of the tricks look like in the video, which is unfortunate. But that's the way Japanese TV ads look, too: a crazy jumble of editing and type and you can never really see what's going on.
The things, with "Magical MRI" there's no visual effect to show because it's mentalism.

That puts things in perspective. Thanks Richard. You still have to enjoy the little tidbits of information they are feeding us.
By the way, who was that blonde hair guy who used to do the demos on their website and whatever happened to him?

Considering that you haven't seen the full effects performed, I don't know where the "bleh" is coming from.

It's true. You have to see full videos to appreciate it. They look great! The blank card trick reminds me of Eclipse Wallet.

Re: Video of New Tenyo Items
Indeed they do look great! Ghost Card and Magical MRI impress me the most. I think it's safe to say that Ghost Card will be the shocker to lay audiences but to magicians as well. 4D has nice apparatus. I suspect that perhaps the money trick can be adapted to bills of any country since Tenyo no longer makes English versions but maybe not since they are releasing it with two different Japanese bill denominations.
Now I am really looking forward to receiving the new releases for 2014!

Tenyo IS releasing "Money Shock" for American currency. Not sure what denomination the bill will be yet.

Re: Video of New Tenyo Items
4D is made from thick paper and not plastic. Is that true? If so, why?
Re: Video of New Tenyo Items
Why not ?
I think it's better like that in fact. The props look ungimmicked made of thick paper.
And this show to magicians that everyone can create a little miracle with just thick paper, work, and a good idea.

Re: Video of New Tenyo Items
First, I think it is safe to assume that plastic would be more durable and last longer than paper. Second, when you are using a prop which is not an ordinary household item, the concept of whether or not the prop looks gimmicked is irrelevant. Third, I don't know that we really want to show magicians that a miracle can be created with paper. Don't they already know that?
