Is there an mpeg Come Fly With Me demo video?

I tried to watch the JB Magic demo video for the Come Fly With Me coins across advertised and raved about in Genii. But my Mac OS X 10.4 operating system can't play the video. Boy it's been a long time since there was a video I couldn't play. Even all the porn sites are mac-compatible.

Anyone know where an mpeg version is available? I'd love to see what all the fuss is about.

I tried it with Camino, Opera and Firefox. No joy. I too can't remember the last time I couldn't watch a video.

Pete:

There's not much to see...they don't show the whole routine, just one coin jumping across. Looks clean but you're not missing a major demo.

Could be that the AVI file won't play in Quicktime:

As Steve said its not a full demo, you can see a full demo over at the Magic Video Depot:

http://www.magicvideodepot.com/view.php?a=v&t=9799

Which should start playing in Flash.

Quicktime can play AVIs. It must be some odd codec he used.

Thanks for the MD link, appreciated. I'm not 3Fly expert at all, but I can't really see what's new. But I haven't studied it so am not qualified to say that really.

I realise that but like you say and it says in the article it could be the PC Codec that the video has been encoded with.

As for the trick, I think the gimmicks basically give you more freedom to clearly show just three coins, and to show your hands empty, but I'm still not convinced lay-people could tell you the difference between that and say doing a four-coin version like Paul Wilsons, or a version with a flipper like Troy Hoosers or with a shell like Reed McClintock's, I think certainly with the flipper/shell versions you can get some of the clean shows and travels, but your mileage may vary if you wish to spend all that on the gimmicks required, personally I'm saving up for a Jamie Schoolcraft shell/flipper set :)

Rich, which routine, specifically, attracts you with the flipper/shell combo? I've been looking for something simliar.

Thanks!

P.S. Have you Mac guys tried VLC for the video?

The full demo of "Come Fly with Me" is on the free DVD given away with the November issue of Genii.

The reason I like the handling so much is because not only is it remarkably clean because of the gimmicks, but it's also remarkably easy to do.

Am I the only one who can't find it on the DVD? Is it hidden in an easter egg?

I use VLC all the time! Great app. But doesn't play encoded files in a website. AFAIK.

Uh ... the demo for Come Fly with Me is NOT on the free DVD. Bummer! I thought it was.

From the reviews I've read on that "other" magic forum, "Come Fly With Me" is a give and take proposition. You can't hand out the coins for examination as in the Kohler version-gaffed to the hilt-and the passage of the last coin is not an improvement over Kohler's.

The demo is greatly edited, so one can't see the entire routine demonstrated. Pete is not missing out on anything. This effect is not cheap, it rounds the corner at almost $400.00. Mr. Mason is advertising this in British pounds, which psychologically makes it seem affordable. I'm still on the picket fence...

Come Fly With Me is excellent--better than the Kohler version. Easier to do.

Why would you want to hand out the coins for examination? Produce three coins, to the routine and vanish the coins and go onto something else.

Wait 'til R. Paul Wilson's comes out!

Pete,

Am I missing something? Isn't "Crowded Coins" published, or is there something else in the works?
