Books May Issue

Postby John M. Dale » May 16th, 2009, 1:13 am

Is it just me or are the last half of the last sentences of Jamy Ian Swiss's reviews of Finding Dariel Fitzkee: The Man with the Trick Brain and The Magician: John Mulholland's Secret Life exactly word for word the same (except for the word "who"? ("the man (who) William Larson, Sr., in the pages of this magazine, called 'the most knowledgeable man in magic.'"

Editorial oversight, or, an irony that Jamy is illustrating with this double reference?

Just curious.

I noticed the same thing. I thought it might be a running gag.

The best gag in the current issue is Fig 18, p. 34. Tom Stone is right, it doesn't look like a face.

handkerchief routine is utterly, utterly, utterly excellent. Anyone who has not seen it, has been missing out on one of the best 5 minutes of magical entertainment I've ever seen. Plays for everyone from kids to drunk magicians at a magic convention at 2am.
