Brodien Book

Postby 000 » May 20th, 2008, 5:59 am

A thoroughly enjoyable read!!!!

As an aside Brodiens book could serve as example to others......let your autobiography be authorized, and as in Brodiens case it reflects his 'magical' life, and not his personal. So we are able to read something along the lines of Brodien now being divorced, sans any details. As it shoulld be.

I was also hoping to read exactly how many Svengalis (magic Cards) the man sold but it wasnt clear from the book. I had heard of figures of 18 million, but doesnt seem to be the case.
Read this book if you havent yet.

One of the best reads in a life of Magic. All in all we learn what is required to make a life of magic. The good times and the hard times. If anything at all, I always wanted to learn the Side-Show patter to ramble off amoung friends at a campfire. Also used in my Elephant Fly and Trouble Wit routines. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. In my opion a "must read".
You will love it.
